nice
Unfortunately, the most widely used feature of Picassa has been forgotten in all the alternatives. It is a major feature for family historians who want to identify the people in family photographs.
I have not encountered any system that could analyze and separate out a person’s face in a photograph of people, and use face recognition features to suggest previously identified people in the system as possible matches.
It wasn’t perfect, but it really worked well, and none of the suggested replacements have that feature.
MS Photos does, not as full featured as Picassa, but does a wee bit better job though…
I have not found an easy organizer that can connect so share ready online albums like picasa did.
