Chinese tech giant OnePlus is all set to launch its highly anticipated flagship phone, OnePlus 12, on December 4, 2023, which also coincides with the tenth anniversary of OnePlus.
OnePlus Officially Announces Launch Date Of OnePlus 12
The news was confirmed by Li Jie, the President of OnePlus China, on Weibo website, in which it was revealed that the event showcasing the OnePlus 12 will be held on December 4, 2023, at 7:00 pm local time (4:30 am IST) in China. Besides the OnePlus 12, gossip suggests that the OnePlus Ace 3 could be unveiled at the same event.
OnePlus 12 Specifications And Features (Likely)
Before the OnePlus 12 launch, the company has confirmed a few specifications. The OnePlus 12 is expected to feature a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display sourced from BOE, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness level of 2,600 nits, and support for a DisplayMate A+ rating.
Under the hood, the new OnePlus 12 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with Adreno GPU and could be backed by up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.
On the camera front, the primary camera will feature a 50MP Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS (Optical image stabilization) support and a 50MP ultrawide Sony IMX581 sensor. It will also be accompanied by a 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor offering 3x optical zoom. The device may have a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Further, the new OnePlus 12 could be powered by a massive 5,400 mAh battery with support for 100W fast wired charging and a 50W wireless charging facility. The device will run Android 14-based OxygenOS right out of the box, as well as USB 3.2 support over Type-C for faster data transfer speeds.
Currently, the OnePlus 12 is expected to launch only in China, with a global launch likely to happen in Q1 of 2024. We can expect more information regarding the features and price of the upcoming phone to be revealed at the launch time.
